OUTDOOR SUNSET SESSION
Family photos showing the real you -
the love, laughs and adventures you share

Nothing is more important than family
But while a traditional family portrait might suit Nan’s mantelpiece, the thought of making your family sit and smile perfectly for an hour feels like an impossible task. You love jumps and twirls and hugs. You love tickly toes and big belly laughs. You want photos that capture the true connection between you and your family, your children’s cheeky personalities and the love you share together.
In the years to come, I want you to look back on these photos and remember how it FELT to be part of your family, what this chapter was really like.

What they say...
She captured their personalities perfectly, in the most authentic and candid way.
When I first met Heidi I just knew she was the right person to take family photos. Not only because she has a great personality and sense of humour, but also because as a mum to young boys, I knew she could handle my four kids.
I was a bit nervous about having the photos done because we've never had professional pics done before (and because of managing our kids!). But our shoot with Heidi was like hanging out with a friend at the beach. We chose a beach location that was significant to our family and she just followed them as they played. She encouraged them to just be themselves and captured their personalities perfectly, in the most authentic and candid way.
When I opened up our album, the music came on and I just started crying. The photos are amazing. Heidi even managed to catch some beautiful images of my partner and I. Our kids love looking at the photos, and the whole experience of doing it together was really special for us as a family. If you're considering doing a photo shoot with Heidi, go for it! You won't regret it

Rankin Family
Outdoor Sunset Session
Little Eli had just turned 5 and Kate realised their last professional photos together were when Eli was born! She needed to get in those photos with her kids so they spent a beautiful afternoon at the beach, playing, splashing and laughing together. So beautiful watching all the sibling interactions and their personalities coming out!

Marshall Family
Outdoor Sunset Session
Little Maisie spent the afternoon being absolutely adorable and making her parents chase her around the park. We played with pine cones in the forest, took a shoulder ride on Dad around the lake and watched the sun set from the hill with the big old trees. The perfect day.

Moore Family
Outdoor Sunset Session
Like many of us, Suz had a little 'Mum guilt' about having more photos on the wall of her eldest daughter than her second (sound familiar?), so we set off on a little adventure, exploring around the gardens, telling stories and chasing Dad. Little Violet was more than happy to be the star of the show!

Brant Family
Outdoor Sunset Session
This extended family had come together to celebrate a very special birthday. We started with some beautiful family shots for Nan, explored the garden whilst cousins played, then everyone toasted marshmallows around the fire before the family photos turned into 'stacks on' at the end. The perfect family photo if you ask me!

How it works
Here’s a run-through of how your shoot comes together and what you can expect from working with me.

Erhard Family
Outdoor Sunset Session
Baby Elyse had just joined the Erhard family and was so lucky to have 3 gorgeous older sisters to dote over her every move. They played amongst the dunes, looked for ladybugs and everyone had a cuddle of their new baby sister. I brought along my gorgeous vintage basket and we got a few shots of Elyse napping amongst the grasses.
Potter Family
Outdoor Sunset Session
Cora and her fur-brother Benji had such a fun afternoon at the beach. We explored the dunes, played in the waves and went for a little adventure around the headland. Maria also needed a couple of headshots for her business, so we did those too!

Wakely Family
Outdoor Sunset Session
The skies were stormy but the Wakely family were keen for their beachside adventure. Somehow we managed to stay dry and watch the most amazing sunset as the rain fell all around us!
