Right from Heidi's introduction we knew that the experience was going to be fabulous. She covered everything in such a fun, laid back but very informative & friendly manner. It was so reassuring & really made the day much more enjoyable knowing that she was happy to just go with the flow. With 3 kids, a dog, horses, chickens & on the day a beehive of angry bee’s she definitely had her work cut out for her.

The hardest part for us was choosing our favourite photos at the end. We would definitely recommend Heidi to anyone wanting to have family photos taken, especially a family story telling session at your home - you will not regret it! These photos are so special and our children will have these to treasure & look back at in years to come! Thanks so much Heidi we look forward to you capturing our family again one day.

What they Say...

- The Kelly Family

Not your aunts and cousins and in laws, but the little family you created, that live with you in your four walls. The way they look at each other, the way they toddle down the hallway, their ‘precious’ things that make them feel safe and loved.

Matching blue jeans, white t-shirts and cheesy grins make you want to vom. It’s the sticky icecream faces, the dancing in the kitchen, the adventures to the park or beach, and the canon balls into the pool you want to remember.

These sessions are for the families that want ‘real life’. They are a documentary style session where we will photograph a few of your favourite things to do as a family around your home, yard, property or favourite nearby park or beach.

Here’s a run-through of how your shoot comes together and what you can expect from working with me.

How it works

Check out my FAQ page if you have any questions about my photography sessions on the Gold Coast.

The Mennies recently built their dream home which was a beautiful backdrop for all their favourite things- jumping on the bed, watermelon on a stick (who knew it needed a stick?!), swinging on the tree swing and lots of trampoline shenanigans.

The Mennie Family

On a recent trip to Melbourne I photographed all the simple things the McKay family love to do at home- dance parties in the lounge room, playing in the garden and a walk to their local park to burn off energy.

Nikki wanted to slow down and appreciate her last few weeks as a family of 3, so we went to the headland at Fingal, their favourite place to go together. Mala loved exploring the paths and discovering the grasses, rocks and shells, and we had a splash in the waves at the end and some photos of Nikkis' beautiful bump.

The Clift Family

Corrine is a self-confessed 'not a family photo person'. She thought family photos were always too posed and tacky and not for her. But after seeing this type of session and realising these years of her daughters lives are passing so quickly, she knew she wanted some real memories of the fun stuff they all do at home together.

The Russell Family

Todd and Julie live on the most beautiful property in the Currumbin Valley with a treasure trove of fun stuff for their 3 kids to do. We started their session by decorating a cake made using Julies grandmas old mixer, and some fresh honeycomb from their bee hive. We checked out the kids rooms and their favourite things to do there. Outside we rode the trail bikes and watched in amazement as little Jack did some 'massive wheelies'. We collected eggs and cuddled chickens before riding their bikes to a neighbouring property to feed the horses that Georgia rides and looks after.
